Director of Photography for Automotive Documentaries
Cry Havoc Productions is looking for a talented and driven Director of Photography for two upcoming automotive based national cable television documentaries to be shot overseas in February and March. The person we’re looking for needs to be extremely comfortable with the unpredictable nature of documentary fieldwork, must have experience with full sized broadcast HD camera packages (DVCPRO HD / P2 / XDCAM), know how to light in a filmic style, use camera dollies and jibs, and needs to be well versed in action photography. Ideally it would also be great if you were passionate about Super Cars, but that is not a requirement " However you do need to be passionate about crafting spectacular images. We’re a small team that moves fast in the field, takes short lunches, and puts in lengthy work days, so please don’t apply if you prefer a leisurely pace to your day and/or think this is an opportunity for a vacation. Pay range is between $1,250 and $2,000 a week based on experience plus daily per diem. If you are interested, please send a link to your reel as well as a recent resume and/or imdb credit list. Cry Havoc Productions, is an independent documentary company that specializes in telling the stories of fantasy vehicles that go fast. Recent credits include ‘Man Made: Bugatti Super Car’ and ‘Motorcycle Crash Tech’ for The National Geographic Channel and ‘Twist The Throttle’ for Discovery HD Theater.
