We are seeking: A college or graduate student (Education, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism majors preferred), based in LA, approx. 16-20 hours a week, will need to be in the office in the beginning to start, but possible (not guaranteed) that you can manage tasks virtually. An energetic and fun person is a MUST! Tell us youre proficient on Mac computers and well throw confetti. College credit is available.

Our core team needs support. We are a small but brilliant group and we need someone who can truly be a human Swiss Army Knife-- someone who can do a multitude of things as needed. The ability to flex and flow is essential. The successful candidate--hopefully YOU-- will be proactive and highly adaptive. You know, the kind of person who is able to look at situations, tasks, and projects and anticipate needs, solve problems before they have a chance to surface. The CEO is often out of town, and the ship needs to stay on course. Join our crew and gain more exposure and experience than you can imagine. No two days are alike here and it's never a dull moment. (In order to be considered, you must include the following password in the Subject Line of your reply: WHOLEMIND) Our office spaces are in the Larchmont area of Hollywood, so it's casual, intimate and very bright and cheerful! :)

You will work directly with everyone, and be mentored by executives who care, including the CEO/Founder. We all wear multiple hats on any given day, and no job is too small for any WRiTE BRAiN staffer. The CEO just loaded and ran the dishwasher this morning. Our group is diverse and we all have different leadership styles, you should be flexible and open to working with different people.

Here's a snapshot of some of the things you'd be helping us with:

Scheduling and logistics, including the corporate calendar
Expense reports (input, compiling, and submitting)
Phone/Reception duties
Scheduling conference calls
Maintain office and common areas
Prep for meetings/tidy up spaces after meetings (arrange for catering, if needed, set out refreshments, notepads, etc.)
Improve processes as you go by helping create standard operating procedures
Prep kits and materials for events
Internet research
Helping wrangle busy CEO to keep her focused on high-priority items, as you prioritize an ongoing punch list of items for her review


Qualifications:

Valid transportation is vital
MS Office and Excel skills are key (Creating and managing databases, spreadsheets, tracking, etc.)
Organizational & filing skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
Ability to communicate to and with educators in afterschool and in-school communities about a holistic approach to learning, education issues and platforms and have had some hands-on teaching experience preferred (volunteering, afterschool, internships, work-study, tutoring or through college programming)
Prepare reports, presentations, operational documents, and correspondence containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content related to business, marketing, and educational content - subject to review and editing by higher-level staff members
Knowledge of proper business English, punctuation, spelling, and grammatical usage
Candidate should be very familiar and comfortable with social media platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo, the Buffer App and YouTube
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
Must know how to close a garbage bag and take it to the bin
